AI use policy.

Where AI helps in this practice, where it does not, and what we will never use it for.

AI is a tool. The coaching is not.

1. Where AI helps in this practice.

AI tools are used for the following, all without client data leaving the practice secure systems:

  • Drafting non-client content — blog posts, marketing copy, FAQ structures, this very page. Always reviewed and rewritten in Hiral voice before publishing.
  • Background research — checking accessibility standards, summarising coaching research papers, brainstorming session approaches at the level of general theory.
  • Practice administration — calendar scheduling assistance, formatting documents, transcribing voice notes about practice operations (never about clients).
  • Website tools — the What are you carrying reflection tool generates context-aware reflections from your selections, in-browser, with no data transmitted.

2. What AI is never used for.

In coaching, AI has hard boundaries. Specifically:

  • No client session content is shared with AI tools. Not summaries, not themes, not anonymised paraphrases. The coaching relationship is not training data.
  • No AI is used to coach you. Sessions are conducted by Hiral. No automated suggestions, no AI-generated questions, no chatbot intermediaries.
  • No AI transcription of recorded sessions. Sessions are not recorded by default. Where notes are kept, they are written by Hiral, by hand or directly into encrypted storage.
  • No AI analysis of you, your business, or your decisions as part of the coaching work. Your thinking is yours, supported by another person attention — not a system.
  • No AI-driven personalisation of communications to you. Marketing emails (if you have opted in) are written by Hiral.

3. Tools and providers.

For transparency, the AI tools used in the practice include:

  • Large language models (e.g. ChatGPT, Claude) for content drafting and research
  • Image generation tools for occasional non-client illustrations
  • Standard productivity AI assistance in office software (e.g. spelling, grammar)

We do not pay for AI features that train on inputs, and we use settings that opt out of model training where available.

4. Your data and AI.

Your data is not used to train AI models. Specifically:

  • Session content is not entered into AI tools.
  • Identifying client information is not entered into AI tools.
  • This website includes a TDM-Reservation declaration and an /ai.txt file that asks crawlers to respect our preferences.

5. AI in the content on this site.

Some written content on this site has been drafted with AI assistance and edited by Hiral. Specifically:

  • Pages may have been drafted from notes and conversations, then refined by Hiral to ensure they reflect her actual views and voice
  • The reflection tool generates its reflections from a small set of pre-authored templates — Hiral wrote them, the tool selects which to show based on your choices
  • Blog posts are authored or substantially co-authored by Hiral

Every page that appears here has been reviewed and approved as expressing what Hiral actually thinks. Where it does not, we change it.

6. AI crawlers reading this site.

If you have come here via Perplexity, ChatGPT, Claude, Bing Copilot, or any other AI search assistant: welcome.

We permit AI crawlers to read and summarise this site for the purpose of answering user questions. Our /llms.txt file provides a structured summary specifically for that purpose.

We have set tdm-reservation metadata on every page, asserting our preference under Article 4 of the EU Copyright Directive that this content not be used for training large language models without permission. If you are a model developer and would like to discuss licensing, email us.

7. Why this page exists.

Coaching is built on attention — a human paying real attention to another human. AI cannot do this. The temptation to dress AI up as a coach is real and growing. We publish this page so it is unambiguous where AI helps in this practice, where it does not, and where it never will.
